No. The microphone signal is measured on your device only and never recorded, saved or sent.
Is it a real decibel meter?
It shows a relative loudness score from 0 to 100, which is perfect for classrooms but not a calibrated measuring instrument.
Why does it ask for the microphone?
It needs to hear the room to measure the noise. You can stop it any time.
